  1. # Donating money
  2. ClearlyDefined is an incubator project and fiscal sponsoree of the Open Source
  3. Initiative (OSI). The OSI is a US charity (501(c)(3)) with tax ID/EIN is 91-2037395.
  4. Any money intended to support ClearyDefineds work should be given to the OSI as
  5. a general donation. Those donations can be earmarked for ClearlyDefined and will
  6. be used to support its work.
  7. Payments to the OSI can be made in a few different ways:
  8. ### Paypal
  9. The preferred method of donation is via PayPal on OSIs website at https://opensource.org/donate.
  10. Fill out the form as appropriate and in the **Targeted Donations** section
  11. towards the bottom, put in "ClearlyDefined".
  12. ### Network for Good
  13. You can also [donate via Network for Good](https://www.networkforgood.org/donation/MakeDonation.aspx?ORGID2=912037395).
  14. Similar to the PayPal method above, fill out the form as appropriate and put
  15. "ClearlyDefined" in the **Designation** box at the lower left of the form.
  16. ### Flattr
  17. [Donating via Flattr](http://flattr.com/thing/448050/Open-Source-Initiative-OSI) is
  18. apparently possible but we are unable to figure out how to do it. If you do figure
  19. out how to donate that way and to target "ClearlyDefined" as the project to support,
  20. please drop us a mail at [clearlydefined@outlook.com](mailto:clearlydefined@outlook.com).
  21. ### Check
  22. You can also mail a check to the OSI at the address below. Be sure to write ClearlyDefined
  23. in the notes/memo field or include a note stating that the donation should be directed
  24. to ClearlyDefined.

  30. ### Wire transfer
  31. If you would like to send a wire transfer, ACH, or represent a corporation that needs to
  32. have an invoice issued against a purchase order, please contact Phyllis Dobbs, Controller
  33. for OSI, at [phyllis@opensource.org](mailto:phyllis@opensource.org) and shell work with
  34. you to set up the payment.
