- <h2>Crowd Sourcing Crowd Sourcing (or self-referential Human Intelligence Tasks)</h2>
- <div class="entry">
- <p>I’ve <a href="http://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=7JYZVC0EGX7Z6H05Z2VZ">created a self-referential Human Intelligence Task</a> on Amazon’s Mechanical Turk.</p>
- <p>The task is to create more Human Intelligence Tasks that might be interesting or neat or funny. If I find any good ones, I’ll implement those.</p>
- <p>I’m currently paying participants $.15 per idea, though I have no idea if this is a reasonable amount of money to compensate someone for coming up with the brilliant <a href="http://fredbenenson.com/blog/2008/08/18/outsource-your-plagiarism-with-amazons-mechanical-turk/"> kind of ideas already on the site</a>:</p>
- <p><a href="http://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=7JYZVC0EGX7Z6H05Z2VZ"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-122" title="Mechanical Turk HIT" src="http://fredbenenson.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/picture-15-292x300.png" alt="" width="292" height="300" /></a></p>
- <p>I’ve pleged $33 <a href="http://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=7JYZVC0EGX7Z6H05Z2VZ">to this task</a>, so that means I should have roughly 200 (minus some fees, etc.) ideas by the end of it. Go lazyweb!</p>

- <p>Yeah. Amazon mechanical turk is pretty awesome but it depends on what you’re trying to do. I was doing some nlp (topic/category resolution) and ended up making a Facebook app disguised as a classification training system to train my system.</p>
