  17. <p>This command removes &quot;extraneous&quot; packages.  If a package name is

  20. <p>Extraneous packages are packages that are not listed on the parent

  21. package&#39;s dependencies list.</p>

  22. <p>If the <code>--production</code> flag is specified, this command will remove the

  23. packages specified in your <code>devDependencies</code>.</p>
